President’s Commission on Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion

Office of Intercultural Affairs
The Office of Intercultural Affairs aims to nurture students as they aspire to become “citizens of the world.” Our mission is to create an environment providing progressive learning experiences necessary to assist our students in the acquisition of skills, knowledge, and practices to successfully live, work and contribute to the well-being of others in a global society. We do so by creating student engagement initiatives, progressive and experiential educational programs, and highly individualized advising. We will create a diverse university of respect, learning, inclusion, and engagement.

LGBTQ+ Office
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning+ Office (LGBTQ+) provides an inviting home to LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, the allied community, and those interested in exploring and/or celebrating LGBTQ+ identities.

Center for African American Students
The Center for African American Students (CAAS) strive to address issues that affect the Marshall University campus, Huntington community, and issues on a global level. The Center engages minority students through activities, programming, and support that intend to enhance principles, and morale of what it means to be a true son or daughter of Marshall University.

World Council
World Council will give voice to the concerns, ideas, and experiences from students around the globe in an effort to establish a more enriching, balanced, and inclusive campus community as we all prepare to become citizens of the world!
