Established on November 6, 1998 and dedicated to the study of  the life and contributions of John Marshall, the center promotes research and scholarship on this most famous Supreme Court chief justice. Visit The JMRC website.

Objective  
  To create a Bibliographical/Research Center to be named “John Marshall and his World.” The Center is devoted to the study of the life and contributions of John Marshall.

The Center will fulfill its objective by:
• Producing a comprehensive bibliographical guide of the life of John Marshall
• Collecting all works written by John Marshall.
• Maintaining a library of all works written about John Marshall.
• Identifying and supporting research and presentations by scholarly affiliates who will carry the title of John Marshall Research Fellows.

 
Utilization  
  In addition to establishing a repository, the Center will encourage research and scholarship on John Marshall’s career.

Utilization will be facilitated by:
• Re-publishing a series of selective articles on John Marshall to be made available both in individual and collective form.
• Encouraging new research on the life and times of John Marshall and publishing the same in various formats.
• Holding an annual Marshall Scholars Seminar featuring aspects of John Marshall and his impact on American history.
