Dr. Eldon Larsen |

As a Project Management Institute (PMI)-certified Project Management Professional, Dr. Larsen has helped several companies, such as Alcon, Verizon, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NASA, and the Union Carbide Corporation, train their managers and employees to improve project management and work processes. Dr. Larsen received the Union Carbide Corporation Chairman’s Award and their Special Recognition Award for his efforts to lead, develop, and teach project management skills to improve their overall research and development.
Recently, Dr. Larsen has co-chaired the following sessions at national meetings: The People Side of Project Management, Young Professionals Managing Seniors: Challenges and Opportunities, Global Project Management, and Project Management – How to Overcome the Problems.
As the 2009-10 Drinko Academy Fellow, Dr. Larsen presented “Practical Project Management: Principles and Fundamentals” at the John Deaver Drinko Symposium, which is a part of the Celebration of Academics series.

Dr. Larsen currently serves as the Coordinator of the Master of Science in Engineering degree program and as the Graduate Council Chair. He has been awarded the Marshall University Distinguished Artist and Scholar Award, as well as the Ashland Outstanding Graduate Advisor of the Year Award.
In addition, he serves as chair of the College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) Personnel Committee, as a MU Faculty Senator, as a member of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, as a member of the CITE Curriculum Committee, and as a member of the ad hoc Faculty Workload Committee. He is also a Director in the National Management Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Secretary of the Charleston section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
