Students are selected on one or more of the following criteria:

~ Middle or high school student who attends a HATS target school
~ Individual who did not complete high school and who wishes to obtain a
high school equivalency certificate or high school diploma
~ Family income that meets federal guidelines
~ First generation college student (neither parent completed a four-year
college degree).

The Heart of Appalachia Talent Search Program is located in Gullickson Hall 212.
