University's Literary Magazine
Founded in 1953,
Et Cetera is an annual literary magazine that publishes the work of
Marshall University students. Et Cetera is free to the Marshall
University community. This website serves as a companion
to our print magazine.
Et Cetera
welcomes submissions in
literary and film criticism, poetry, short stories, drama, all types
of creative non-fiction, photography, and art.

work, you affirm that you have the sole rights to your work and you
give Et Cetera the right to publish your work.

SUBMISSIONS |

REQUIREMENTS:
We look for high quality work, but do not have any specific guidelines for
style or subject. Please do not submit more than one prose piece or three poems.
There is a limit of two total submissions per person per review period. Please
note that we do not reprint previously published work.
FORMAT:
Poems should be individually typed either single- or double-spaced on one side
of the page. Prose should be typed double-spaced on one side and be no longer
than twelve pages. Text should be in Times New Roman 12pt. Margins should be flushed left instead of justified.
Please prepare text files in Word (.doc) or rich-text format (.rtf) file. Mac
users, please be sure you save your file so the filename includes the ".rtf"
file extension. Please attach image files as .jpg or .gif files.
DEADLINES:
Our review period is September 1 to March 31. Please submit your work at any
time during our review period. Submissions made outside of these dates cannot be
reviewed and will be returned.
