Nineteenth-Century British Literature
She received her BA in English from the College of Wooster and her MA and PhD from Penn State University. She specializes in nineteenth-century British poetry, with an emphasis in women’s writing. Secondary research emphases include nineteenth-century science, American regional modernism, and Harry Potter. At Marshall, she has taught courses in Romantic and Victorian poetry, a graduate seminar on the “fallen woman” in nineteenth-century British literature, and a course in fantasy literature. She is a transplant from the West Coast, and still misses the Puget Sound.
