English Education, 5-Adult

Students who complete the English Education 5-Adult Teaching Specialization in COEHS meet the requirements for the second major in English in COLA without having to take any additional courses.
NOTE: COEHS students with a second major in English must meet the general education requirements of COEHS only. They DO NOT need to meet the general education requirements of COLA

Official recognition of a second, non-education, College of Liberal Arts major in ENGLISH can provide many benefits, including increased employment opportunities.

How to declare a second major in English:

Fill in this simple English as a second major form (or pick up a form at any of the places below). Return the form to:

  • Ms. Betty Lewis, in Jenkins Hall 229;
  • Ms. Cheryl Sharp, Corbly Hall 345;
  • your faculty advisor.
