Due Dates in the ETD Process
NOTE: Earlier deadlines set by programs take precedence over university-wide deadlines.

Fall 2007

• October 8 - Final draft of thesis due in advisor's office
• Final draft of dissertation due to the chair at least three weeks prior to defense date
• November 19 - Last possible date to defend dissertation or thesis
• December 6 - Approved thesis or dissertation must be submitted electronically and all paperwork/checks must be in Graduate College Office

Spring 2008

• March 17 - Final draft of master's thesis due in advisor's Office
• Final draft of dissertation due to the chair at least three weeks prior to defense date
• April 24 - Last possible date to defend dissertation or thesis
• May 8 - Approved thesis or dissertation must be submitted electronically and all paperwork/checks must be in Graduate College Office

Summers 5 2008

• June 13 - Final draft of master's thesis due in advisor's office
• June 27 - Last possible date for master's thesis defense
• July 10 - Approved master's thesis must be submitted electronically and all paperwork/checks must be in Graduate College Office

Summer 6 2008 (and 2 for South Charleston students)

• July 18 - Final draft of master's thesis due in advisor's office
• July 31 - Last possible date to defend dissertation or thesis
• August 14 - Approved thesis or dissertation must be submitted electronically and all paperwork/checks must be in Graduate College Office
