PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Cabell County Prosecuting Attorney

Supervise a staff of approximately twenty people, including twelve attorneys, secretaries, victim advocates and an investigator, as well as maintaining a full case load. Presently handle most murder cases, all arson cases and other violent criminal cases.

December 1982 -April 1990

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney of Cabell County

Handled almost all cases in Magistrate Court, both misdemeanors and felonies, for many years and also handled a full time Circuit Court felony case load which included many jury trials. Was considered to be the Chief Assistant before becoming the Prosecuting Attorney.

May 1980 –  April 1990

Private Law Practice

Handled all types of a Civil Law Practice, including real estate, contracts, domestic relations, personal injury, municipal and corporate law
