A. Grade Point Average (GPA): Marshall University Forensic Science Program Average Incoming Undergraduate GPA versus Exit MSFS GPA
Graph A: This graph provides the average undergraduate GPA for students coming into the Forensic Science Program as well as the average GPA upon graduation from the Program. At this time, GPA data for Graduating Class of 2015 and 2016 (incoming 2013 and 2014, respectively) is provided, however, GPA at the time of graduation for these two Classes is in the future and yet to be determined.

B. Employment Statistics: Marshall University Graduate Employment Statistics
Table B This table provides employment figures over the past 5 years. The “Forensic Science” category is defined as those gainfully employed in laboratory, field work, or case work positions by law enforcement agencies or private-sector forensic facilities. The “Forensic Science Related” category is defined as those gainfully employed in a forensic-related science activity by an entity other than a law enforcement agency or organization; or employment by a law enforcement but not specifically in a forensic science position.
C. Professional Development: Marshall University Graduate Student Presentation at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Annual Meeting or MAAFS Regional Meeting
Graph C: This graph provides student attendance and presentations at national or regional professional meetings per year which consisted of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Annual Meeting (http://www.aafs.org/) in Washington, DC (2008), Denver, CO (2009), Seattle, WA (2010), Chicago, IL (2011), Atlanta, GA (2012), Washington, DC (2013), Seattle, WA (2014), and Orlando, FL (2015). “Percent Attending” (Red Square) is based on the number of 1st– and 2nd– year students attending divided by the total number of students enrolled in the program for that year x 100. “Percent Presenting” (Green Triangle) is based on the number of students who were selected to present a poster or oral presentation at the meeting compared to the total number of 2nd-years students* in the Program.
*Only 2nd-year students have completed research projects to be eligible for national meeting presentation.
