Christine Anderson

Assistant Vice President for Development

Christine P. Anderson, Assistant Vice President for Development, is a regional development officer responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of five and six figure gift investments for the Marshall University Foundation.  Anderson also supervises the University Fund and Scholarship Donor Relations.

Prior to joining the Marshall University family, Anderson was the Senior Vice President for the Clements Group for 11 years, a nationally based consulting firm specializing in community college institutional advancement.  During her tenure, Anderson helped more than 50 community and technical colleges in 16 states raise nearly $100 million through the conduct of major gifts campaigns. Anderson also served as a writer and professional development speaker for the Clements Group.

Before joining the Clements Group, Anderson was director for development at Ashland (Ky.) Community and Technical College.  It was there that she implemented a comprehensive resource development program.  While at the college, she helped establish its foundation and conducted its first major gifts campaign, raising $2.2 million.

Anderson earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Education from College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri in 1989 and her Master of Arts in Journalism from Marshall in 1997.

Anderson’s family received their education at Marshall, including husband Robert Anderson and step children Aaron and Andrea Anderson.  She and Bob have two grandchildren, Isaac and Isabel.
