After we receive the completed on-line application, resume, two or three references, 500 word essay, all college transcripts, two most recent passport size photos and $100 application fee, we will send you a letter notifying you of your full acceptance to the Teach in China program or a letter of conditional acceptance if we contact you for a phone interview appointment. Important: After you submit the completed on-line application, please send by email a 500 word essay describing your interest in teaching in China. (Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, we cannot respond to your on-line application until we receive your 500-word essay.) You will also need to mail a copy of your 500 word essay to the address listed below.

In addition to the 500-word essay, you will also need to send the following application documents(Due date is March 31, 2013 for late August 2013 departure) to the address below:

1) your resume; (by email in word attachment)
2) two to three reference letters from people who have direct knowledge of your qualifications for the teaching position;
3) copies of college transcripts;
4) the $100 application fee (made payable to Marshall University Research Corporation;
5) copy of your college diploma*;
6) copy of your passport** and
7) two passport size photos (dress formal).

For paperless application, we are also acceptting your application documents sent by email attachments. Please follow our guidelines if you E-file your application materials (preferred) to us by email.

*Copies of diploma and passport copy can arrive afterward if you currently have not obtained them yet.

**If you don't have a passport at the time of the application, you must submit a copy of your driving license first. You must apply for your passport immediately from the National Passport Center or your local general post office and submit a copy of your passport by April 30.

After we receive all of the above items, we will send you a letter notifying you of your full acceptance to the Teach in China program if we decide to waive the phone interview with you or a letter of conditional acceptance if we contact you for a phone interview appointment.

Thank you for your interest in the Appalachians Abroad Teach in China Program and, by the way, you do not need to be from the Appalachian region to apply to this program :-)
