Please note: It is the responsibility of the graduate student to be informed about and to observe all current regulations, policies, and procedures required
      by the University and by the academic program being pursued. In no case will a regulation be waived or an exception granted because the student pleads
      ignorance of the regulation or asserts that he or she was not informed of the regulation by an advisor or other authority. It is essential for the student to
      remain informed of and to observe deadlines established and published by the University or by the major academic area.

      A few policies are listed here for your convenience:

• If you wish to transfer from one degree program to another, you must reapply for admission to the Graduate College.
• If you wish to transfer out of the Graduate College into an undergraduate college, you must reapply for admission to the Graduate College.
• At least half of the minimum required hours for the student's master's degree must be earned in classes numbered 600 or above.
• At the master's and education specialist level, transfer credits (there is a seven year limit) from another institution cannot exceed 12 hours.
• If you register for an Independent Study course, be sure it is in your Plan of Study.
