If you have a hold on your registration, there may be a number of reasons why:
- The Bursar may place a hold on your ability to register for classes if you are financially indebted to the University (e.g., for unpaid tuition, fees, fines).
- The Graduate College may place a registration hold on your account in the case of an academic deficiency.
- The Graduate Admissions Office may place a hold if your admissions file is incomplete.
If you have a hold on your registration and you do not know what it is, please call the Graduate College office (304.696.6606) and we will be able to tell you.
How to resolve a hold
To have a hold cleared from your student record, you would have to pay your account balance or correct an academic or admissions obligation.
