Graduate Scholarship Tuition Waivers are available through
competitive application to Marshall University students,
faculty, and staff. P
riority consideration is
given to faculty and staff. Tuition waiver application
deadlines for each upcoming semester will be posted to this
website.
Waivers cover all or a portion of System Capital fees and
Educational & General fees.
Applications are available in the Graduate College office
(Old Main 113) on the
Huntington campus, through a student's academic department
office on the South Charleston campus, or online
here.
ONLINE FORM INSTRUCTIONS:

out the form online, print it, sign it and return to the
appropriate office or print the form, complete it by hand,
sign it and return to the appropriate office.

Academic merit,
which is based on grade point average and scores on
required graduate admissions examinations, is the major
consideration in awarding the waivers that cover
tuition.

Students who receive
waivers are responsible for paying any costs not covered
by the waiver, as indicated on the application form.

Up to three hours
of waiver for graduate course work will be awarded to
qualified applicants. These waivers do not cover
online courses.

Students who
previously held waivers must reapply to be considered
for waivers for subsequent terms.

Applicants who are
awarded waivers will be notified by mail or email. All
awarded waivers will be processed electronically and
posted to students’ accounts within 10 business days of
approval and registration. Applicants are responsible
for any amount not covered by the waiver. These
balances must be paid by the tuition/fee due date as
established by the University.

All graduate
students must be registered for classes to receive
the waivers and to have the payments posted to their
accounts.
