A limited number of Graduate Scholarship Tuition Waivers is available through competitive application to Marshall University students and to full-time Marshall University faculty and staff. Priority consideration is given to faculty and staff.  Tuition waiver application due dates are posted below.

Waivers cover all or a portion of System Capital fees and Educational & General fees.

Eligibility:

• All applicants must be currently admitted and enrolled in a graduate degree-granting or certificate program at Marshall University.
• Faculty and staff applicants must also be full-time employees of Marshall University.

Please note:

• Student waivers have a maximum value of $750 to cover the cost of up to three credit hours for graduate course work.
• Faculty/Staff employee benefit waivers cover the complete cost of up to three credit hours for graduate course work (with the exception of required fees).
• The waiver does not cover online courses.
• Applicants receiving tuition benefits from any other source (including GA positions), are not eligible for this award.

The awarding of waivers is competitive and is made on the basis of academic achievement and promise. Preference may be given to students who did not receive a waiver the previous semester.

• Applicants who are awarded waivers will be notified by email. Waivers are posted to student accounts within 10 business days of approval and registration. Award recipients are responsible for any amount not covered by the waiver. Balances must be paid by the tuition/fee due date noted on the Bursar site: http://www.marshall.edu/bursar/
   
• Please note that award recipients must be registered for graduate courses for Spring 2012 term by Friday, December 9, 2011.  We encourage applicants to register for classes at the same time they submit a waiver application. Waivers for students who are not registered by Friday, December 9, 2011, will be assigned to other qualified applicants.
