COHORT 2007

Application Materials

Submit to Office of Admissions and Records, MUGC, 100 Angus E. Peyton Drive, South Charleston, WV 25303:

 

  1. Application with fee – be sure the application is clearly marked at the top “Cohort”

 

  1. Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work

 

  1. Official record of test scores from either the GRE or the Miller’s Analogy Test, taken within the last five years. Scores must be at least at the 60th percentile.

 

Submit to Office of Doctoral Programs, MUGC, 100 Angus E. Peyton Drive, South Charleston, WV 25303:

 

  1. Professional vita or resume, including address, phone numbers and email address.

 

  1. Goal statement – 2-3 pages outlining career goals and the reasons for pursuing the doctoral program

 

  1. Recommendations – 3 references provided on the forms included in your packet (additional copies are available, if needed, from the doctoral website).

 

Additional requirements:

 

  1. Complete an online writing sample –  see additional instructions, or contact the Office of Doctoral Programs at 1-800-642-9842 ext. 8949 for assistance

 

  1. Interview with program faculty – each applicant must participate in an interview with program faculty prior to acceptance in the program.

 

June 16, 2007 – The Miller’s Analogy Test will be given at the Braxton County Center of the Pierpont Community and Technical College. You MUST register in advance by calling the Office of Doctoral Programs, 1-800-642-9842 ext. 68949, or locally 746-8949.

 Interviews with faculty will be conducted at the same location/date. Applicants taking the MAT test on that date will automatically be scheduled for an interview. If you are not taking the MAT, call to schedule an interview for June 16th,  1-800-642-9842 ext. 68949, or locally 746-8949.
