The Board oversees professional licensing procedures and examinations for 1,100 Licensed Professional Counselors in West Virginia. Appointed by Governor Cecil Underwood in Nov., 1998 for a five year term, reappointed by Governor Bob Wise in 2003 for an additional five year term.
