Program of Study, Educational Leadership Area of Emphasis

The M.A. in Leadership Studies with an area of emphasis in Educational Leadership includes the coursework for professional administrative licensure as a school principal. This portfolio-based program requires a minimum of 36 semester hours, which must be completed within seven years of the start of the program. West Virginia licensure requires passing the PRAXIS II Educational Leadership Administration and Supervision Test and the Education Leadership Institute offered by the West Virginia Center for Professional Development.
