Special Education

The Special Education Program provides both Masters of Arts and teacher licensure programs in six different specialization for those who are interested in careers in special education. All programs are designed for the working adult and feature a combination of online classes and courses offered traditionally in the evenings or on weekends. Plans of study are tailored to match the needs of individual candidates but the basic course requirement for each specialization may be viewed by clicking on the links below:

Admission Requirements for Special Education, M.A.

An Alternate Certification Program allows candidates to obtain middle and high school special education teaching certification. This track is available for the following specializations: Autism, Multi-categorical, and Visual Impairments.
