Regional Education Service Agency I

Regional Education Service Agency - I (RESA I) operates under the policies and leadership of the West Virginia Board of Education and advisement of the RESA I Advisory Council. In 1972 the West Virginia Legislature enacted legislation which caused the West Virginia Board of Education to establish multi-county Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs) for the purpose of providing high quality, cost effective educational programs and services to county school systems. Technical, operational, programmatic, and professional services are among the types of programs and services appropriate for delivery on a regional basis.
