Mrs. Brie Grimmett has one year of teaching experience, and is thoroughly enjoying her second year here at The June Harless Center.  Last year she taught Kindergarten in North Carolina, but moved back in June to be with her family and friends.  She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Literacy Education, both from Marshall University.  She is also a certified Literacy Specialist.  This is her first year at Kellogg Elementary.

Second grade sings a song about world hunger

Ojalá que llueva café en el campo...May it rain coffee on the fields, is the name of a song by Juan Luis Guerra from the Dominican Republic.  The lyrics talk of about asking that instead of rain in the form of water, it would be nice if it were to rain food, so poor people in the world would not go hungry. The video clip shows the students practicing the beguiling of the song... more to come.
