Project Focus- Project Focus is a two year collaborative initiative between the June Harless Center and Lincoln County Schools, supported through the Improving Teacher Quality grants program.  The purpose of the project is to train and support a cadre of literacy “teacher leaders” who are designing digital curriculum maps and lesson plan resources that can be utilized by all Lincoln County elementary teachers.  In the first year of funding, teachers engaged in three summer seminars for content and pedagogical enhancement.  Through the 2009-2010 school year, teachers also met monthly to create the research-based resources.  Year two will focus on taking the work to scale and implementing the resources into all Lincoln County classrooms.
