The Philip Pendleton Gibson Center for Professional Development is a program for medical students, law students, and professionals who are struggling in school and/or diagnosed with a Learning Disability and/or ADHD. The Center was created by the generosity of Mrs. Anne Gibson Hill to honor the memory of her father who was a well-respected lawyer from Huntington, West Virginia. The center provides a much needed service to individuals pursuing careers in the medical and law professions. Students enrolled in the program participate in individual and small group sessions that focus on: 1. Reading Comprehension Techniques 2. Specific Study Skills 3. Reading for Speed 4. Concentration and Memory 5. Advanced Testing Strategies 6. Time Management Procedures ![]()
The intensive five week program** equips participants with the necessary technical skills to reach their professional goals. The program also addresses issues involving:
