Summer H.E.L.P.
Freshmen at HELP are required to attend Summer Session C at Marshall University (a five week summer school session) beginning the second week of June. Students enroll in one college class. Students receive an hour of individual tutoring for that class each day in our state-of-the-art facility. Students also participate in an afternoon small group college preparatory session at the H.E.L.P. Program each day. The group addresses improving basic skills in spelling, reading, written language, and math. Every effort is made to utilize a multi-sensory approach to learning. Summer H.E.L.P. acclimates students to the college setting and greatly improves the success rate of our students.
