Medical H.E.L.P.

The Marshall University Medical H.E.L.P. Program began in 1986 with a vision of helping medical students and physicians with learning disabilities and/or ADHD succeed academically. Since that time, Marshall Medical H.E.L.P. has worked with approximately 600 students from across the United States and several foreign countries.  A five week intensive course is held four times each year in January, March, June, and September, with individual one on one sessions available the rest of the year.  Throughout the intensive program topics such as reading and comprehension, reading rate, learning strategies, memorization techniques, test-taking skills, error analysis, and self-esteem are targeted for improvement. Over the years, the medical H.E.L.P. Program has remained dedicated to the belief that many individuals with learning differences can in fact become competent, skilled physicians. Our team of learning disability specialists involved with the program have greatly enjoyed being an integral part in helping so many achieve their dreams
