My thesis research focuses
on cave-associated populations of Eurycea l. longicauda,
the Long-tailed Salamander. By
recognizing the unique patterns of individuals through photographs, I’m able to
track their movements and estimate population sizes. Hopefully this will lead to a better
understanding of their seasonal behavior patterns and shed some light on their
natural history in karst regions.
