Residence Hall Programing

Programs are social, recreational, or educational activities provided exclusively to students who live in the residence halls. Each hall staff plans programs that their residents will benefit from and enjoy.
Programs serve several purposes:

  • First, they provide opportunities for residents in a building or floor to get to know one another and feel part of a residential community.
  • Programs also provide students the opportunity to get to know a variety of other people associated with the Marshall and Huntington communities.
  • Professors, staff, and other local professionals and experts often volunteer their time to facilitate programs, which allow students the opportunity to interact with people they might otherwise only know in a limited context.
  • Programs are designed to be educational, and will expose residents to activities and information they may not otherwise encounter, helping them to grow personally and discover new interests. And finally, programs are fun.
  • They often include a hands-on activity for participants to enjoy.

We encourage students to participate in the programs and activities offered in our residence halls.  If you have more suggestions please let your RHA representatives, Resident Advisor, or Resident director know.

The Calendar below allows you to see where and when programs are being conducted in the halls.
