Thank you for participating in the Herd Path Program.
Thank you for supporting Marshall’s freshmen through their critical first year as college students.
The Herd Path Program emphasizes class attendance as a key to student success, and we are entirely dependent on faculty support
Our goal is to intervene when a student misses classes early in the semester to make sure that
1. the student is okay and
2. the student aware of the connection between class attendance, retention, GPA and eventual graduation.
None of this can happen if faculty don’t take the extra step of letting us know about class attendance. Thank you for helping us support freshmen.
Below are all of the materials we have for faculty:
- Banner Attendance Instructions Updated April 2017
- Message to students enrolled in large science lecture classes
Thank you for caring about our students. Your support of this initiative also supports an essential plank of our university mission, to “provide services and resources to promote student learning, retention, and academic success.”
