RECRUITING INFORMATION

A standard Employment Application can be picked up in Human Resource Services, 207 Old Main, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  If you are unable to come to campus, we would be happy to send you an application. Call us at (304) 696-2592, or send e-mail to recruiting@marshall.edu. The application is also available in several formats for download from the Human Resource Services Forms Page and can be returned by paper mail, e-mail, or in person.  Applications must be received no later than the appropriate closing date (paper mail is determined by postmark; e-mail is the date sent).

The address for paper mail is:

Some positions, such as Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) non-exempt positions require completion of the standard Marshall University Employment Application. Other positions, such as FLSA exempt positions, may require other documentation such as a letter of interest, a current resume, and the names/addresses of professional references. Application instructions appear for each vacancy.

It is essential that you complete the entire application thoroughly and accurately. If more space is needed, supplemental sheets may be attached. A complete application assists hiring officials in assessing qualifications. You may wish to attach a resume; however, all information must be transferred to the application. Do not indicate "see resume."

It is the applicant's responsibility to notify Human Resource Services in writing of each and every position for which he/she wishes to be considered after the initial application has been submitted.  E-mail requests from persons who have already filed a standard Employment Application are acceptable.  These should be addressed to recruiting@marshall.edu. Any changes, additions, or deletions to the original application (which is considered active for one year) must be done in person by the applicant. Completion of the Equal Opportunity Information Form is voluntary and information will be considered confidential.

Employment at Marshall University, Marshall Community & Technical College, and Marshall University Research Corporation is subject to successful results of a Background Check including but not limited to verification of educational credentials and prior experience, criminal records check, and sex and violent offender registry check.
