MUNET account is automatically assigned to all registered students as well as faculty and staff to allow access to Marshall network MUNET (the Marshall University computing network). Your MUNET login username is an alphanumeric phrase based on your last name and a sequence number. In your case it is parker123.

To obtain your randomly generated password please contact IT Service Desk located on the first floor of Drinko library on Huntington campus. You can also call them at:
    (304) 696 -3200 Huntington calling area
    (304) 746-1969 Charleston calling area
    (877) 689-6838 Toll free, outside the Huntington/ Charleston.

We encourage you to change your MUNET password at your first convenience. Use strong password that has at least eight characters, upper case and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters, such as $, #, &. Please read more about strong passwords: http://www.marshall.edu/infosec/resources/passwords/

If you are typing the username correctly (in your case it should be: marshall\ross230 or just ross230), the problem is most likely an incorrect password.

  8. Ashley says:

Why is it telling me that I am not authorized to view the page when i try to download the anti virus

  9. Anna Banks says:

    Ashley,
The problem is most likely your password or the way you are entering your username.
Your username should be entered either “marshall\blakeman2” or just “blakeman2”. If this is the way you are entering your username, the problem is incorrect password. In this case, please contact Marshall University IT Service Desk to reset your password.
    InfoSec Team.
