Flight Information

Two airports are located within a one-hour driving distance from Marshall University’s main campus in Huntington, West Virginia.

The Office of International Student Services at Marshall University provides a reliable airport pick-up service the week before every semester begins. If you wish to use this service, please complete and submit the Airport Pick-up Arrival Form. Marshall University has two airports nearby where the Office of International Student Services staff can perform pick-ups: Huntington Tri-State Aiport (HTS) and Charleston Yeager Airport (CRW). There is an airport pick-up fee of $50 for all pick-ups at Huntington Tri-State Airport and a $150 fee for all pick-ups made at Charleston Yeager Airport.

Huntington Tri-State Airport is located in Huntington, West Virginia and is a 15-minute car ride to the Marshall University campus. Flight information, car rentals, hotel shuttles, and taxi service for HTS can all be found on their website.

Charleston Yeager Airport is located in Charleston, West Virginia and is approximately a 50-minute car ride to the Marshall University campus. Flight information, driving directions, and car rentals for CRW can be found on their website.

Huntington is also served by Amtrack Train and Greyhound Bus.

Use Mapquest to plan your trip to Marshall University. We are located at: 400 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington, West Virginia 25755-0001. Just input this address data in the Mapquest “Driving Directions” page as your destination and input your starting location and Mapquest will generate maps and turn-by-turn directions.


Parking

Complimentary parking is available to visitors in the lot behind the Joseph M. Gillette Welcome Center located on the corner of 5th Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard.  Be sure to go inside to receive your parking permit.

Lodging in Charleston, West Virginia

The Charleston House Holiday Inn provides free shuttle service from the Charleston Airport to their hotel. You can call the Charleston House from the baggage claim area of the airport using the free phones.  The phone number for the hotel is 304-344-4092.  Tell the hotel that you are a guest of Marshall University when you make the reservation.  You can also email the Office of International Student Services at iss@marshall.edu to request us to make the reservation for you.
