Bill Bissett
is the Chief of Staff / Senior Vice President at Marshall
University. He is a native West Virginian who earned his bachelor's
and master’s degrees from Marshall University, and is currently
pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership.
Prior to working for his alma mater, Bill served as Vice
President of Public Relations for Charles Ryan Associates, an
integrated marketing firm with offices in Charleston, WV and
Richmond, VA. He also has served as Director of Communications for
both the West Virginia Department of Agriculture and the Department
of Transportation. Before working in public relations, Bill worked
in television marketing and advertising, and was a columnist for
West Virginia's largest subscription newspaper, The Charleston
Gazette.
He and his wife, Cindy, reside in Charleston, West Virginia.
Leah Clark
Edwards is a West Virginia native and a 1984 graduate of
Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
. She has worked for more than two decades in radio and television
news, public relations, and advertising. She enjoys reporting on
healthcare and education issues and was the recipient of Kentucky's
Barry Bingham Senior Media Award for excellence in reporting on
mental health issues. Edwards is currently pursuing her Masters in
Journalism at Marshall University and serves as a public relations
specialist for University Communications.
She lives in the Barboursville area and has three children Rachel,
Megan, and Drew. |
