My name is Adam Jenkins, I work in the Welcome Center as an academic recruitment coordinator at Marshall University. From the first time I visited campus, I knew that Marshall had to be my home: the size, campus, location, and faculty all make Marshall a great fit for students who are looking for a school that provides a big enough environment to have exciting things happening, but small enough to retain a personal atmosphere.
I continued with my spark of interest in history, and it became much more than I could have imagined thanks to the connections that I built with the faculty here at Marshall. My coursework and professors taught me new ways of critically analyzing, researching, and writing about the world around me.
I'm still a student here at Marshall! I chose to continue my studies at the graduate level in the Masters of Arts in Teaching program to build the education-specific components on top of my undergraduate history degree so that I can move forward as a high school Social Studies teacher. Marshall was a great fit for me, and my job allows me to pass that same experience along to future Marshall students.
