Founded in 1837 in Huntington, West Virginia, Marshall University is a multi-campus public university providing innovative undergraduate and graduate education to over 14,000 students including 4,000 graduate and medical students. Marshall was granted university status in 1961. The university now functions through twelve academic units.

Student orientation will provide you with the opportunity meet with your academic advisor who will assist with creating an plan of study and review your course schedule.
