Paula Sanchez-Rebollo holds an MA in Spanish Philology from la Universidad del País Vasco (Basque Country University). She has taught Spanish around the world, including Universidad del País Vasco, in Spain, at Dalian University of Foreign Languages in China, at Pinar del Rio University in Cuba, at Jean Moulin III University in France and Las Lilas School in Singapore. She has also published several short stories in different literary magazines.

A native of Germany, Anke is especially interested in bringing the cultural, political and historical aspects of the German speaking countries closer to her students.
Anke graduated from the Justus Liebig Universitaet of Giessen with the first state exam in law (1. Juristisches Staatsexamen) and a Master of International Law (Magister Iuris Internationalis). She obtained the second state exam in law after a two year legal practicum in Germany. Anke has completed a one year study of the European Union's Erasmus Program at the Universite de Bretagne Occidentale in Brest, France. She is a former Konrad Adenauer Scholar and completed the foundation's journalism program. Anke loves nature and travelling, and has developed and guided a tour from this area to Germany.

Deborah Freidin holds an M.A. from the University of Minnesota in Scandinavian Languages and Literature and an M.A. with distinction from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England in Modern Languages and European History (Comparative Literature). She has studied and travelled extensively in Europe, especially France, England, Germany and Sweden and has enjoyed teaching foreign languages for nearly 20 years.

Ms. Ikuyo Kawada is from Kagawa, Japan and currently working as a Japanese instructor in the Japanese Program at Marshall University. She had completed her Master's degree in Adult Technical Education, majoring Teaching English as a Foreign Language in spring 2007 at Marshall. Through two years experiences of teaching kindergartners at WV International School, Ms. Kawada became interested in early childhood education as well as second language acquisition. She also likes swimming, hiking, traveling, playing the piano, and learning different culture and languages.
Yukari Suzue (Japanese)
Ms. Yukari Suzue will be a graduate student, majoring Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Adult and Technical Education at Marshall University in the fall 2008. She will also work as a graduate assistant in the Japanese Program in the Department of Modern Languages. She was born in Kyoto, Japan. Ms.Suzue's interests include language learning and English linguistics.

Dr. McQueeny is a Professor of French with a special interest in 20th century fiction and drama. His publications have dealt with Samuel Beckett and the problems of translation, Celine and the literature of French fascism.
