Edna Diane Cole is the Administrative Secretary Sr. for the Department of Modern Languages. She has worked at Marshall University since November, 1984, and has worked in the Bursar’s Office, Purchasing Department, and the Department of Music before becoming the Administrative Secretary Sr. for the Department of Modern Languages in February, 2002.
Edna grew up in Huntington, WV (was the third of six children) and graduated from Huntington East High School, but now lives in Proctorville, OH, with her husband of almost 35 years, has one daughter and son-in-law, and is Nana to one grandson. Edna loves to sing – is a member of the Pea Ridge United Methodist Chancel Choir and performs solos both at church and occasionally at weddings. She is also an animal lover and in the past has had several dogs, horses and cats. Although she has never taken any language courses, she has picked up a few Spanish words with the help of the MDL faculty. Stop by and say "Hola" next time you're in Smith Hall!
