Dr. Huhn is an Assistant Professor of Spanish with expertise in Foreign Language Education and Technology. Her research includes work in program assessment, technology, and beginning language learners. Her work has included an assessment of a language learning center as her MA Thesis and an assessment of a WebCT enhanced beginning language program as her dissertation. She participates in national conferences (ACTFL) and has presented papers at CALICO and other local conferences. Dr. Huhn recently presented an ACTFL presentation entitled: Meeting ACTFL Writing Standards without Killing the Professor (2006), and has a follow-up article pending, along with an assessment article related to her dissertation. Dr. Huhn is a trained NCATE reviewer. and is very active in WVFLTA (West Virginia Foreign Language Teachers Association), and will serve as Vice-President for the 2008-2010 academic years.

Christina's current research involves second language writing practices in SFL, the beginning language learner, and assessment. As the School of Education Liaison for Spanish, Christina works closely with the school of Education, teaches the methods course and advising and supervising Teacher Education Candidates, was well as departmental assessment and webmaster responsibilities.

Prior to returning to academia, she worked as a Translator/Interpreter. Christina is originally from the Midwest, and loves enjoying the natural areas here in West Virginia with her dogs.
