SPANISH EDUCATION

  • The Spanish Education program is designed for students who plan to teach Spanish in the K-12 schools. The Spanish Content area is taken in combination with College of Education requirements for all education majors.
  • It is reccommended that students consult with their advisor early in their program. COEHS also has mandatory advising for education majors.
  • The PPST needs to be taken as early in the program as possible.
  • All Modern Language education majors are required to complete both the Language Skills Portfolio and the Oral Proficiency Interview.
  • Students completign majors in both Spanish and Education must also complete a capstone project in both programs.
  • Be sure to review the College of Education Requirements for Spanish Education students in addition to the Spanish Content area requirements.
