Division of Accountancy and Legal Environment

On September 11th, 2008 the Division of Accountancy & Legal Environment became one of 169 Accounting programs in the world to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Students graduating from the Lewis College of Business Accounting program are highly sought after, most having a job offer before his/her date of graduation.

The Division of Accountancy and Legal Environment will begin offering a Masters of Science degree in Accountancy beginning in the Fall 2009 term. This program will include a six week Becker instructed “CPA Bootcamp”. The Advisory Board and faculty of the Division are very
involved in the curriculum, constantly reviewing and changing the program to help it more successfully prepare for post-college employment. The Faculty meets bi-weekly to evaluate courses and teachings while the Advisory Board provides feedback annually from
working professionals regarding what they need and want from graduates with an Accounting Degree.
