Philip E. Cline is executive vice president and director of J.H. Fletcher & Co. in Huntington, West Virginia. Born in Stidham, Kentucky in 1933, Cline received his B.S. in Accounting from Marshall College in 1955 and his master's in Political Science from Marshall University in 1962. Extremely active in his community, Cline is a member and past president of the M.U. Foundation Board of Directors; member and past chairman of the M.U. Institutional Board of Advisors; a life member of the Big Green Club; member of the Boards of Directors of Bank One, WV, Industrial Investment & Holding Co., KYOWVA Corrugated Container Co. Inc., Logan Corp., Champion Industries and McCorkle Industries. He is chairman of the W.Va. Alliance for Hospital Trustees and past president and member of the Cabell Huntington Hospital Board of Trustees. He is past president of the Huntington Pediatric Clinic, the M.U. Alumni Association, the Huntington YMCA, the Huntington Rotary Club, past chairman of the W.Va. Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of Alderson-Broaddus College and owner of the Hollybrook Farm in Gallia County, Ohio. He is the recipient of the Huntington Hall of Fame Award (1987), the Herald Dispatch Citizen of the Year Award (1988), the M.U. Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award (1991), and Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources Forest Stewardship Award (1994).
