| Dan R. Moore
is chairman of the board and president of Matewan
BancShares in Williamson, West Virginia. Under
his leadership, the bank evolved from a bank with
assets of $35 million into a multi-bank holding
company with assets of nearly $650 million with
offices serving communities in West Virginia,
Kentucky and Virginia. Moore serves on the boards
of directors of the West Virginia roundtable and
the West Virginia University Foundation. He is
chair of the Mingo County Redevelopment Authority
and a member and past chair of the Marshall
University Institutional Board of Advisors. He is
also a member of the Marshall University
Foundation and Governor's Jobs Through Education
Panel. Moore was named West Virginia Entrepreneur
of the Year in 1991 and received the Rotary
International Paul Harris Fellowship Award, which
is the highest honor bestowed upon a member of
that organization. He recently became
chairman-elect of the West Virginia Bankers
Association. Moore and his wife, Betty Jo, are
owners of Moore Auto Group in Williamson, West
Virginia. |
