J. Robert Pritchard is president of Pritchard Electric Co., Huntington, West Virginia. A 1935 graduate of St. Albans High School in St. Albans, West Virginia, Pritchard established Pritchard Electric Co., Inc. in 1962. Starting out, Pritchard had no employment and a few prospects, but that was soon to change. Today Pritchard's company sees a verage sales of approximately $16.5 million per year and employs approximately 500 people per year. Pritchard was a driving force in the implementation of the National Business Roundtable's Construction Industry Cost Effectiveness program. He has been closely associated with Marshall University in many ways for over 25 years. He has received the James H. McGraw Contractor Medal (1988). He was appointed to the Chair of the "Electrical Contracting Foundation, Inc." in Washington D.C., representing West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland for 1992-1994. He is a member of the Boards of Directors Bank One, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington City Mission, Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, United Way and Goodwill Industries. He served 14 years as president of West Virginia-Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association. He and is wife Geraldine have one daughter, Dr. Deborah Greenwald. He and Geraldine currently reside in Huntington.
