What Type of Presentations Are Possible?
The following list is intended to provide some suggestions and hopefully spark some new ideas for presentations.  It is by no means an exhaustive list.  Any information or knowledge gained through a student's coursework or independent study is acceptable as a presentation.  For further ideas, speak with faculty members or contact the conference program committee.

Some ideas for presentations are...

  • Present an oral report of your findings from a research paper.

  • Display and present a poster.

  • Debate or Speak about a particular issue.

  • Present a symposium or a workshop on a particular issue.

  • Teach others a skill or about something that you have learned.

  • Present the benefits and or experience from your internship, study abroad, or other experience that allowed you to apply skills learned in the classroom.

  • Moderate and facilitate a discussion about a particular subject that you have researched.

  • Share a creative writing work and explain what influenced its development.

  • Present an oral book report and what you have learned or your reaction to the book.

(Many of these suggestions were taken from the Moorhead Student Academic Conference webpage at http://www.mnstate.edu/acadconf/1999/ideas.html.)

If you have any questions regarding the conference, please contact one of the Conference Directors listed below.
