What is the purpose of the conference?
The Undergraduate Student Research and Creativity Conference provides students the opportunity to present their recent work, whether that be a capstone project or another project.  Friends, fellow students, professors, and interested people from outside the university are welcome to attend and learn from the presentations. By presenting, you will receive valuable feedback from the wider university community.  Of course, your participation would be an impressive entry on your resume.
Who can participate in the conference?
The conference is open to anyone to attend. The steering committee hopes that students, faculty, and members of the tri-states community will come and see the excellent work going on at Marshall University. Since the conference is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, the presenters must be undergraduate, liberal arts majors (or education majors with a liberal arts focus).
How long does a presentation need to be?
Each presentation should be approximately 15 minutes long, followed by a 5 minute question and answer period. Special panels and group presentations can be modified accordingly.
How do I sign up to participate?
Complete
application forms are available on this website. Follow the directions for submitting a proposal and the presentations committee will contact you as soon as possible.
What types of presentations will be allowed?
One of the purposes of this conference is to allow for greater interdisciplinary research within the College of Liberal Arts. Therefore, the presentations committee will be very flexible in accepting and scheduling presentations. Any research or other type of creative work will be considered. If you need some suggestions on possible topics, speak with a faculty mentor.
Can I present at more than one session?
Assuming scheduling permits, you can present your work in two separate sessions (or in the poster session). Please fill out an application for each presentation, and note on each that you would like them scheduled at separate times.

Where can I find out more about the conference?
This website should have all the information you need. If you have any additional questions, please direct them to the steering committee at llibartsconf@marshall.edu.  You can also contact one of the Conference Co-Directors,
Dr. Kellie Bean
