Library Instruction
What is Library Instruction?
Within Marshall University Libraries, User Education provides library instruction for students at the request of faculty and instructors with the overall goal of supporting and promoting information literacy throughout the MU community.
Sabrina Thomas, Instruction & Reference Librarian, works with faculty and instructors to design and tailor instruction sessions for specific research assignments as needed.
Please call or email at least two weeks in advance to schedule library instruction. *Please be aware that the latter part of August and most of September often are booked heavily with University and Honors 101 library instruction sessions.
If you wish to work with Mrs. Thomas to develop an instruction session for a specific assignment, contact her as soon as possible so that she may select the best possible paper, CD-ROM and/or Internet-based databases and resources. She can even develop subject guides/pathfinders with enough advance notice (2 weeks before session).
