Marvin R. Dunbrack, Born 1/1/1897 and died 12/29/1986. Age 89. Blanche Gwin, Daughter, Gladys Waugh, Daughter, Annabelle McNeill, Daughter, Geraldine Nuckoles, Daughter.

Mr. Dunbrack was interviewed in the afternoon on his front porch. He had a real “knack” for people, a radiant personality, and a contagious smile. He was tall and wore glasses. His interview, being long, contains much of his personal background, but gives large amount of information about his work in the timber industry as well as many other endeavors. He was interrupted several times by people coming by to sell him ginseng since he was a dealer who shipped it for resale.
Some of his descriptions of co-workers may be objectionable but my perception was that he used the language of an era of history and in no way intended disrespect. In fact, his remarks can only be interpreted to be of great pride in having the co-workers association.

It was easy to understand why in the later years of his life he was a successful businessman and salesman. His description of near death adds an additional dimension to the transcript.
