College Hill. Jan14th/66.
My Dear Parents.
Sunday has rolled around
and I as my accustomed work, am wri-
ting to you. I have heard nothing from
home yet. but had reason to expect a
letter from Brother Ruber long before
this as he promised to write to me
the day after I left and he might
have kept his promise well enough to
have written the second or third day
after my departure at least. but Froucy
Shepard thought of me enough after
I had left to remember the promise
and fulfill it which she did by
writing to me on Sunday last and
told me some news too. and I think
Rube might have done the same. I
wrote to you (Ma) last Sunday suppose
