My Dear Father
                  Your truly welcome
letter of the 26th inst was recieved
last night on my return from
Paris. when we had been to visit
Mrs. Polk. (Mollie's sister.) We left
here Tuesday about twelve o' clock
got to Paris about half past
there a distance of seventeen
miles. remained there till
five the next evening
when we came as far as Mrs
Halladays where we spent that

ter he has five grandsons
