I will wait for the river to rise
although they are all determined
I shall since they know you are
willing for me to do so. Lalla
Vance wrote me of the weather was
pleasant and I went home
by sail she and Mr. Rogers
wanted to visit me at Portland.
so if I go that way you let
her know about it if you please
It may save you sending a man.
Give my love to all at home.
Tell Aunt Jul I will answer her
letter soon. With much love
for you and Ma I am
Your Affectionate Daughter
Mary
