The Meadows
Lexington Nov 3 1874
My Darling Ma
Yesterday I was
the happy recipient of four
letters. one from Joe. Jim Lalla
and last but not least your dear
letter of the 29th . I am surprised
at you saying I have not written
to you I am sure I have answered
your letters promptly. would have
written oftener but knew you
hear from me through my letters
to Pa, Harris and this
other members of The family.
You ought not to have attempted
cleaning house. I fear Aunt
Jule will lay herself up at it.
